The Mediterranean Star Blanket is inspired by Uttu, the Sumerian goddess of weaving. Featuring an ancient Kilim star motif, the luxurious heavyweight cotton is handwoven on century old looms and made to last a lifetime.
Equally suited as a blanket, throw, bedspread or picnic blanket, this generously-sized piece is perfect for everyday living.
Mizar & Alcor works hand in hand with local artisans who remain faithful to a time-honoured process; their textiles are handwoven using sustainable materials such as certified 100% organic cotton & linen. These are lightweight fibres that require less energy to wash and less material to weave. Their fabrics are certified with Standard 100 Oeko-Tex meaning they have been tested for human and environmental safety and guarantee the absence of harmful substances.
